Tips for hybrid Meetings
1. The right equipment
Obviously, a successful hybrid event requires the right equipment. Be clear about what your technical requirements are so they can be met by the providers in Greater Rostock.
2. Interactive experiences, also for virtual participants
Actively involve those in front of the screens, for example through surveys, live chats or Q&A sessions. Networking opportunities, also for those who participate digitally, ensure the full enjoyment of a hybrid event.
3. Clear communication
Good communication is crucial for a successful hybrid event. Provide information about necessary registrations, technical requirements and the schedule to make sure your hybrid event provides the maximum benefit.

Sustainability though hybrid events

In Greater Rostock, we want to take advantage of the benefits of hybrid event formats, while the issue of sustainability always plays a role for us. The question is, how sustainable are hybrid event formats? The answer is: they have real potential! As travel to congresses is usually the biggest factor for emissions, enormous savings are possible, especially if those who otherwise would have a very long journey attend virtually. The increased electricity consumption due to the needed technical equipment should not be disregarded, but is hardly significant in comparison to the travel distance saved. (Source)
